On Sept. 17th 2016 is the official opening of the famous Münchener Oktoberfest when thousands of visitors from all over the world come to enjoy the probably worldwide unique atmosphere between beer tents, plenty of Maß of beer, folk music and Lederhosen or Dirndl. Up to Oct. 3rd 2016 about 6 Million of people are expected to visit the worlds largest festival on the Theresienwiese in Munic. They will drink about 7 Mio. Maß beer, eat more than 500.000 Brathendl and celebrate together into the small hours. There is even a Bierkönigin and I learned that one waiter/waitress can carry max. 18 Maß beer. If there is really one litre of beer in a Maß, and the service carries 18 Maß within the weight of the Maß, a total weight of about 41,4 Kilo has to be brought through the crowded tents. There’s no need of workout during these days this is really high-performance sport. A number of visitors also present their high performance drinking ability and traditional costumes. Wonderful Dirndl Creations and Lederhosen finally find their spectators within twisting hairstyles on the ladies heads. Meanwhile we also have Oktoberfest in several german cities under them Frankfurt that parties in the Commerzbankarena.
