Whenever a Lions club gets together, problems get smaller. And communities get better. That’s because we help where help is needed – in our own communities and around the world – with unmatched integrity and energy.

Our 46,000 clubs and 1.4+ million members make us the world’s largest service club organization. We’re also one of the most effective. Our members do whatever is needed to help their local communities. Everywhere we work, we make friends. With children who need eyeglasses, with seniors who don’t have enough to eat and with people we may never meet.
I’m engaged in a Lions-community of Frankfurt (founded Oct. 24th 1997), “Lions Club Frankfurt – Alte Oper”. Our Community helps women and children in the Frankfurt area. This year we support a project in one of the frankfurt districts where a lot of families live in social and financial problems. To increase the future for their children we help the “Verein Projektgruppe Kind in Nied e.V.
To ensure a big donation we invite every year for a gala. This year it will be next Saturday, Oct. 20th.

Die 21. Benefiz-Gala ist am Samstag, 20. Oktober 2018, im Hotel „The Westin Grand“, Konrad-Adenauer-Straße 7, Frankfurt am Main – mit attraktiver Tombola zugunsten des Projektes.
Schirmherrschaften: Volker Bouffier, Hessischer Ministerpräsident und Peter Feldmann, Oberbürgermeister der Stadt Frankfurt am Main.
Durch den festlichen Abend führen Sabine Kober (Kerndesign.Studio) und Maestro Bernhard Seelbach, Diplom-Kapellmeister (auch bekannt als aktiver ‚Sammler‘ für die „Leberecht-Stiftung“).
Zum Programm:
Unter dem Motto des Abends „Im Zauber der Musik“ entführen internationale Künstler in die Welt der Oper, Operette und Musical.

18:30 Uhr Empfang | Begrüßung und Gespräch: Dietlind Schneider mit Carola Krebsbach, Clubpräsidentin 2018/2019 und Staatsminister Axel Wintermeyer | Festliches Gala-Dinner | Dagmar Thiel, Gründungsmitglied der Projektgruppe spricht zum Projekt. –
Das Sextett „Bernd Hasel Gala Band“ lockt die Gäste bis Mitternacht auf’s Tanzparkett. – Kartenpreis 120,– Euro inkl. Aperitif und Galadinner exkl. Getränke.
