Backstage:
For us finalists it’s been such a special event from the moment we arrived until we checked out – with crown and/or without. Famous 2 days; really georgious. Great moments full of pleasure which we’ll never forget in our lifes. It’s so much work to organize everything, to have the all the press there, to find sponsers and to make sure that everything is perfectly running when the final starts. Our thanks go first to the Miss Germany Corporation. Second we want to name Spieth & Wensky for the wonderful Dirndl they made available for us and which any of us wore full of pride. Thank you so much.
After arrival, Sunday October 30th, we had a team-meeting, afterwards the fitting of the Dirndls. At about 15.30 p.m. the catwalk training started. With small breaks up to 22.00 p.m. – next day 9.00 a.m. to 14.00 p.m. Oh my God, hard hours to go through with hurting feet, backpain, blisters… but anyway: 48 hours no age-related weakness, we are all tough girls, aren’t we?! Our catwalk trainer, Jens was strict and fantastic at the same time. He’s a real professional and allowed us snipping a bit of this famous catwalk air. We were willing students and followed strictly his advices. It is to Jens, that the choreo run perfectly at the final.
Monday, October 31st the Styling startet at about 15.00 p.m. – Hair, Make-up everything done perfectly by Famous Face Academy, Frankfurt, who gave us great support. They all treated us like little stars, within their help when we changed closes, powdered quickly our faces and gave power and motivation to us. Red carpet feeling.
The Jury came step by step, some already Sunday, some at least Monday 18.00 p.m. Some of them we could see also backstage. Julian F.M. Stoekel came into our changing room to spread joy and to make selfies. Julian we loved these moments with you – each of the girls was fascinated by your charme.
Inbetween press, fotographs, interviews, TV. Thousands of photos were made; catching the moments and the atmosphere. It’s just great to see some seconds afterwards on TV and perhaps our children will show this happening one day to their children: how we were with 50+. Simply a cool generation and I suppose the coolest ever.
We, the finalists had no cat fights, on the contrary we found new friendships and just enjoyed our time together. Big congrats to our winner, Miss 50plus Germany 2017, Christine Lösch-Schleier.
